Anren Dragon Lantern Festival

Anren Dragon Lantern Festival is a folk cultural activity in Furong Village, Longhai Town, Anren County, with a history of more than 600 years. The Dragon Lantern Festival is held every year during the Lantern Festival, from the 13th to the 15th night of the first month, with the theme activities concentrated on the 15th day.
The main activities include: dragon visiting door to door for good luck; sacrifice to the gods for peace; pray for good weather and good harvest; and folk art performance.
In 2014, Anren Dragon Lantern Festival was included on the fourth representative list of municipal-level intangible cultural heritage items. In 2016, it was included in the fourth batch of provincial-level intangible cultural heritage items.
